The longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks is 5.8 km (3.6 mi) and was achieved by The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in association with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, on 1 January 2024.

The purpose of breaking this record is to promote the natural beauty and attract attention to the rising lively culture of Ras Al Khaimah.

This NYE celebration is a festive event with food vendors, music, and a fireworks and drone display to welcome the new year.

The distance between every barge and pontoon positions with the carpet aquatic fireworks were measured and mapped out.
